Next G...one step closer

Telstra will be making pre-paid available for the Next G network from this Thursday which opens up the other half of the market (pre-paid) to the Next G network. It also means that it is one step closer to turning CDMA off.

Anyone going to switch to the Next G network soon or who has so far?

I know that I won't be for at least another year or so, most likely will leave it until they about to switch the old network off. :)

Not being a CDMA customer, it doesn't affect me as much. My dad will have to go over soon though, his phone is wearing out and the CDMA network is being switched off. I intend to keep my Nokia 3315 on the GSM (Digital) network untill just before they switch it off. (2009?) When that happens, I'll get a phone-mp3 player - GPS all in one.

Haha. I remember when Jonny had an Alcatel (back in the grammar days), and he used to pay people out with "Nokia 3315's with snake II oooooo".

I'm on CDMA, but with 1c text going, I'm thinking I may switch over to optus (I'm actually thinking of linking my home phone and mobile onto a plan).

And just for your info: optus are still going to have GSM network, it's only telstra who are snobbing us off!
